Packetization & Aggregation OCT8304 The OCT8304 is a packetization and aggregation engine for Voice over IP (VoIP) and Voice over AAL2 (VoATM) applications. The design provides for standalone high-density G.711 packetization while simultaneously providing aggregation for off-the-shelf DSPs where flexible compression or other requirements may be added. The OCT8304 is highly flexible to allow a single architecture to address a diversity of requirements. By simultaneously supporting IPv4, IPv6, and AAL2 at a full 155 Mbps bandwidth, a single board design can be deployed that addresses the connectivity demands of today, and tomorrow.
